About Kittymama

Okasaneko is ♥Kittymama♥, and it’s easy enough to guess why.

Okaasan is Japanese for Mother, as Neko is Japanese for Cat. Melding these two words came up with an unlikely version of my English moniker Kittymama.

A Tubby Tabby, Three Konekos and a Life with Hello Kitty, Sylvanian Families, and Autism.

Hmmm… that just about sums my life with my husband, my two boys (the three men in my life– my konekos!), my undying fascination for all things Hello Kitty, my newfound passion for Sylvanian Families, and my lifelong advocacy for autism. There are days when I feel like I am balancing too many balls in the air, but hey, who hasn’t felt the same way every now and then? The key to life, I believe, is to treasure the little “happiness-es” we take for granted each day. Then, and only then, can we start to live.

So hop along my life’s journey with me. It’s bound to be a rollercoaster ride! ♥

    Back when we were young, who’d have ever thought we would be the Moms we are today? And that beyond everything we’ve done in our lives, our children would be our proudest achievements? Now I truly understand what our moms spent hours at the PTA for. (Say hi to your mom to me!)

    Nice to know someone who is fond of collecting Sylvanian Family toys. I am a collector too but not as extensive as the others as it’s hard to find here in the Middle East. I have to buy my SF from the Philippines and considering to purchase online.
